The IL400 is our latest ultra-precision machine platform development to introduce ultimate precision, small size 4axis kinematics, and flexibility in automation for small and medium sized components. Due to it's compact base axis design, a control system integrated active machine bed decoupling and a new compensation for dynamic following errors, the IL400 allows for unmatched surface finishes. An optional small frame all hydrostatic vertical axis turns the machine into a fully performing 4-axis platform for parts up to 2 inch in diameter. Automated back doors allow for robot automation and scalable productivity in serial production. To put it short: The IL400 is our next generation high performance platform!

Small Frame Y-Axis

The small frame Y-Axis for the IL400 platform turns the machine into a 4-axes ultra-precision machining center. With a stroke of 60 mm you can raster machine parts > 2 inch in turning, ruling, milling or metrology scanning. The all oil hydrostatic axis with linear motor and gravitational compensation lines up with our standard ultra-precision axes designs.

Active Machine Bed

Our new pneumatic active feet with a control loop integrated into the machines PLC system and advanced control algorithms provide significantly improved stability for the machine bed during dynamic machining processes. They provide the next relevant step for the standard sub-nanometer roughness level on ultra-precision optical surfaces. or a direct start of the technology in your production.
